Royal Canadian Legion Branch 192, known as the Capt. A. Roy Brown Branch, is the local Carleton Place chapter of the national veterans' service organization, located at 177 George St. The branch, named after WWI flying ace Captain Arthur Roy Brown (born in Carleton Place), first opened in 1931 and moved to its current building in 1959-60.
