Angel Craft Canada is a small handmade macramé workshop in Ottawa. On her Etsy shop Maryna introduces it in her own words: “Welcome to Angel Craft Canada! My name is Maryna, and I create unique handmade macramé pieces designed to become meaningful gifts and bring beauty to everyday life.” The heading above that text reads “Where Every Macramé Piece Is Made with Soul.”
She describes how she works the same way: “Angel Craft Canada is not mass production. It is a small handmade shop where every creation is made with care, love, and attention to detail.” Her Instagram and Facebook carry one line for all of it — “Macrame for your world, your mood, your moments. Gifts made with love in Ottawa, Canada. DM me to order.”
Her signature piece is the prypynda, a traditional Ukrainian accessory she reworks in macramé. In her words: “This macrame prypynda is more than just an accessory. A practical little pocket is hidden inside, while the outside features a symbol associated with earth and fertility in Ukrainian ornament tradition.” She styles it for today: “Wear it with a vyshyvanka for a traditional look, pair it with a dress, or simply add it to your favorite jeans. Because tradition doesn’t have to stay in the past, it can become part of your own style.”
The rest of the collection grows out of the same knots. She has introduced “my kids’ macrame prypyndas”, makes boho macramé skirts that are “easy to style over dresses, pants, or shorts”, macramé belts, wine bottle holders with a matching neck glass holder for picnics, and hand-embroidered pendants — “Usually, I make patterns with knots. This time, I made one with stitches.” Her Etsy shop lists an Angel Car Charm macramé rearview-mirror hanger at CA$30.00, a handmade macramé unicorn wall hanging at CA$20.00 and a DIY macramé mermaid craft kit at CA$20.00.
Her Facebook page lists Angel Craft as an Arts & Crafts Store in Ottawa, ON; Maryna gives Ottawa as where she lives, Dnipro as where she is from, and English, Ukrainian and Russian as her languages. She has been on Etsy since 2025. She takes the work to Ukrainian markets in the city — “I’ll be bringing my macrame prypyndas to upcoming Ukrainian markets in Ottawa, and I can’t wait for you to see them in person” — and announced a table at Sorochynsky Yarmarok Ottawa, “September 5, 10 AM–4 PM, Invest Ottawa”. On Sunday, 13 September 2026 her table is at UAFest in Riverside Park, Carleton Place.
