Terms of Use
The ground rules for using this website — written plainly, because we're volunteers, not a legal department.
Last updated: July 2, 2026
Provided as-is, by volunteers
This website is run by the Ukrainian Community of Lanark County, a volunteer-run community group, to share information about UAFest and to collect applications and inquiries. We do our best to keep everything accurate and working, but the site is provided as-is: we can't promise it will always be available, error-free, or perfectly up to date. If you spot a mistake, please tell us at info@uafest.ca.
Who owns what's on this site
The text, photos, and graphics on this site belong to the festival's organizers or to the community members who contributed them. You're welcome to share links to our pages anywhere. If you want to reuse our photos or text — for an article, a poster, a school project — just ask us first at info@uafest.ca. For media, the Press page is the right starting point.
Submitting a form is a request, not a guarantee
Vendor, performer, sponsor, volunteer, and project applications submitted through this site are requests. Sending one doesn't reserve a booth, a stage slot, a sponsorship placement, or a volunteer role — every application is reviewed by the organizing team, and space at the festival is limited. We'll respond to let you know where things stand.
Festival plans can change
UAFest 2026 is planned for Sunday, September 13, 2026, 12–8 PM at Riverside Park, 137 John St, Carleton Place, Ontario. That said, this is a live outdoor community event: schedules, performer lineups, activities, and items marked “will be announced” can shift — and weather, safety, or circumstances beyond our control could force changes to the event itself. This website is where we'll post updates.
Links to other sites
We link out to third-party sites and services — for example GoFundMe for donations and Facebook for community updates. Those sites have their own terms and privacy practices, and we don't control them. Anything you do there is between you and them.
Photography and video at a public event
UAFest is a public event, and photography and video recording take place there — by festival volunteers, press, and other guests. By attending, you may appear in photos or footage used to document and promote the festival. If you'd like a festival photo of you or your child taken down from our site or channels, email info@uafest.ca — our Privacy Policy covers this in more detail.
Governing context and changes
The festival and its organizers are based in Lanark County, Ontario, Canada, and these terms are meant to be read under the laws that apply there. If we update these terms, we'll change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
