The Rushnyk of Unity – Rushnyk of Victory is a travelling cloth of Ukrainian embroidery. Every community that receives it stitches its own rushnyk and sews it on, so the cloth grows with each stop. On 24 May 2026 in Tallinn, The Book of World Records registered it as a European record: 160.5 m long, 103 rushnyky joined into one, 89 organizations taking part. The project was conceived by Andrii Yatsenko and is carried by its co-organizers in Ukraine and Estonia; Viktoriia Bebko is its curator. It grows out of an earlier cloth: in 2014, pupils of around 1,100 schools unrolled a 735-metre rushnyk across the Dnipro bridge in Kherson. On 13 September 2026 the cloth made its first stop outside Europe. UAFest (Ukrainian Community of Lanark County) organized and produced its North American premiere in Carleton Place, Ontario, where a procession carried it into Riverside Park and a Lanark County panel joined the cloth.
