Mon Ami — Mariana Fondera

Mon Ami is the shop Mariana Fondera runs out of Toronto, and its own words for itself are short: "Welcome to Mon Ami - Your best friend in shopping." The Instagram bio holds the whole idea in three lines — "Style, Quality & Uniqueness", "Toronto", "Made in Ukraine".

The shop's opening post says where the clothes come from: Mon Ami is in Toronto and works with Ukrainian production; quality, style and a particular mood in every piece; it brings over the current trends from Ukraine, the very ones that are missing here; clothing that underlines your individuality and makes every look special. What that looks like on the rail is a mix of everyday and occasion pieces: cotton bomber jackets in four colours, one adjustable size, 97% cotton and 3% elastane, "a perfect mix of style, quality, and practicality — your new seasonal favorite"; knitted viscose t-shirts in s and m; summer shorts of "high-quality natural fabric"; a balloon skirt that "will complement your summer look"; and an evening set of a fitted bodysuit with removable shimmering brooches and a structured burgundy eco-leather skirt, "designed to enhance the silhouette and create a modern, elegant look for evenings, events, or special occasions".

Alongside them hang the embroidered shirts. Her post of 21 May 2026 puts it plainly: embroidered shirts in stock, natural composition — cotton, size M, modern stylised embroidery. The Marketplace listing calls the same rail "Сучасні вишиванки" — stylised modern vyshyvanky, size M, C$110.

Orders run through her own two channels. Listings such as the Palazzo Pants and the bomber jacket end the same way: "Available for order here or message us on Instagram 💌 @monami.pour_toi". Pieces are listed from Toronto, one listing offers a public meetup, and her opening post is tagged #monami #ukrainianclothing #ukrainiansintoronto.
