Town of Smiths Falls

Smiths Falls is a town in Lanark County, Eastern Ontario, about 48 miles (78 km) southwest of Ottawa, on the Rideau Canal — the waterway runs through the town with four locks in three locations. Administratively separated from the surrounding county, it had a population of 9,254 at the 2021 census. Its municipal government, at 77 Beckwith Street North, promotes the community's historic downtown, scenic waterways and local events.
