About

Marta Lenkivska brings Skrynka — Ukrainian Souvenirs to UAFest 2026. The shop stands at 3829 Lake Shore Blvd W in Etobicoke (Long Branch), Toronto, and introduces itself on its own Facebook page in a single line: "Authentic Ukrainian souvenirs and handmade gifts. Bringing culture and beauty to your home."

Skrynka tells its own beginning this way, in Ukrainian, on the front page of skrynka.ca: "Skrynka was born out of a deep love for Ukrainian heritage and a wish to share the warmth of our traditions with the people of Canada. Every thing in our shop is not simply a souvenir, but a piece of the soul of the talented craftspeople who keep the centuries-old secrets of the craft." And further: "We believe that culture is a living story that speaks through the ornament of embroidery, the warmth of clay and the fineness of wood. Delivering these treasures across Canada, we bring hearts together and create the feeling of home."

The online store listed 279 items when this page was written — "a collection of Ukrainian goods and souvenirs: vyshyvanky, decor, candles, magnets, cups, books, maps and other unique things that reflect Ukrainian culture and traditions" — sorted into 34 categories, among them christening kryzhma, pysanky, vyshyvanky, Easter baskets, plates and panels, boxes, socks, board games in Ukrainian and mangal grills with their skewers, cast-iron pots and grates. Petrykivka-painted spoons and clay dishes appear on the shop's front page and in its own posts rather than as catalogue categories. Skrynka's Instagram bio says the shop carries goods from more than 30 cities of Ukraine. Prices are published on the shop's own pages: women's embroidered T-shirts from $32, men's vyshyvanky from $60, christening kryzhma from $55, painted and embroidered pysanky $15–$35, the Мангал «Вовк» grill $720. The shop asks buyers to phone before ordering, "because some items may already be sold".

Skrynka does not stay behind its counter. Through August and September 2026 it took a stall to the parish feast market at the Dormition of the Mother of God Ukrainian Catholic Church in Mississauga on 15 August, the Ukrainian Independence Day celebration in Centennial Park, Etobicoke on 22 August, and the Sorochynskyi Fair at Invest Ottawa on 5 September; it also announced its participation in the Montreal Ukrainian Festival in Parc de Maisonneuve on 29 August. Before the Ottawa trip the shop wrote: "We have a great many customers in Ottawa, and it is so good that this time we will finally be able to meet you in person, get to know you and talk."

Skrynka ships across Canada — its own banner reads "FREE SHIPPING ACROSS ALL OF CANADA ON ORDERS FROM $300" — and its Instagram bio adds door delivery in Etobicoke and Mississauga. Christening kryzhma can be embroidered to order: "a named kryzhma can be embroidered specially for your child — with the name, a little angel, a cross and other delicate elements. The colour of the embroidery can also be chosen individually." Orders and questions go to +1 (437) 557-8369, by phone or on WhatsApp.
