Copper and Ukrainian silver jewellery, handmade

Real leaves kept in copper, and Ukrainian-made sterling silver, from UAFest makers.

Tetiana Williams, of Copper & Silk Infusion Art in Mississippi Mills, Ontario, makes jewellery by electroforming: she collects fallen leaves, twigs, flowers and ethically sourced insects, and copper is deposited on them until every vein still shows. Some pieces carry a patina — antique on an oak leaf, verdigris on a maple leaf — and all are sealed so they do not oxidise. No two are alike, because no two leaves are.

Svitlana Masik brings Ukrainian-made sterling silver jewellery to UAFest: rings, earrings, chains and other pieces. Ask her about sizes and what is available now.
