Lakomka International Deli has stood at 1127 Baxter Road since 1998, with food from more than twenty European countries — smoked fish, salamis, perogies and pelmeni, and its own kapusta.

Starsky Fine Foods, a European supermarket with stores in Mississauga, Hamilton and Toronto, delivers to Ottawa. About 45 minutes west in Carleton Place, The Little German Bakery keeps a grocery corner of German and European goods beside its pretzels and breads at 14 Bridge Street.
