The Scene

An outdoor riverside stage, a family-sized crowd

UAFest runs 12 PM – 8 PM at Riverside Park in Carleton Place β€” a full day, all-ages program with a rotating lineup on the main stage and community-stage moments throughout the grounds. In 2025, the festival drew 4,000+ visitors: Ukrainian families, Canadian neighbours, and newcomers, all gathered outdoors along the river. It's an attentive, warm, community crowd β€” the kind that sings along, claps for the kids' choir, and sticks around between sets.

Performer FAQ

It depends on the act and format β€” compensation details are confirmed with you directly once your application is reviewed, the same way stage times and technical needs are finalized.

Yes β€” we welcome touring and international performers alongside local and regional acts. Mention your tour schedule and any travel or logistics needs in your application so we can plan around it.

A wide range β€” traditional and contemporary Ukrainian music, folk and contemporary dance, choir, theatre, craft demonstrations and cultural talks. If your act doesn't fit neatly into a category, apply anyway and describe it in your own words.

Absolutely. New performers are welcome every year. Share a bit about your act and, if you have them, links to video, audio or photos so we can get a feel for your performance.
